The arena in Fort Joy is below Griffs camp. In there you can have a match against the current champions of the arena. Furthermore the fight in the arena is the only way to reach some of the chests. In my case Lohse used Favourable Wind to enhance her movement speed and then grabbed the chests while my remaining team fought against the enemies. Winning the fight makes your main character the new champion. And with that title won there's now someone in Fort Joy who is willing to remove your collar.
